RED HOT MAMA METAL BAR SIGN PRESALE!

Posted on May 24, 2017 by Judy Gex

Red Hot Mama Widespread Panic Tall Boy Bar Sign Jeff Wood
Yes, I know... another presale... but we need to have these in hand by the end of June, and it takes about 4-5 weeks for them to be manufactured, so...... the best way for us to get a close estimate for how many we should order is to do a presale.

Designed and crafted to look just like a commercial beer sign, the size will be 12x24" and the art will be embossed on recycled aluminum containing lots of beer cans (of course). They are made locally here in the USA from a very eco friendly company.

Presale will begin Thursday, May 25 at 3pm EDT and run through May 31st

These will NOT ship until late June, possibly into the first week of July. We do not have a definite date for shipping. Please be aware of this before you place an order. Updates on when they will be shipped will be posted on our blog and on our various Facebook pages.

We'll leave the presale listing up for a week until May 31st.

Price will be $35 + $15 shipping

You can follow us on Facebook on our
Zen Dragon Gallery page. Shipping updates will be posted there and on our Zen Dragon Gallery web blog

Hampton 70 Commemorative Print

Posted on May 21, 2017 by Judy Gex

After the release of the Hampton 70 prints, it became very apparent to us that a large number of people who were at the event or connected to Col. Bruce in some way, were unable to get a print at the show or on our drop. Emotions ran high and we had to field a lot of angry emails and messages. To make matters worse, people who aren't in tune with the collector market, couldn't understand how they were already being sold for hundreds more on eBay less than a day after our sale by people who seemingly have no connection to our scene or family.

It all happened faster than we could work out a way to alleviate the demand. As with other projects, we cannot always be transparent with intentions because sometimes we don't get approvals or projects fall through. This was the case when I made the announcement about pulling prints off eBay. We were already trying to work out details to print a commemorative run of the poster to accomodate everyone who was shut out on the drop, but we could not share that until we had the approval of other parties. We have that approval now.

We ordinarily do not reprint any of our runs unless it's a tour print that sells through before a tour is complete, but the circumstances here are... well, unique, so.... we are going to do a commemorative run oof the Hampton 70 poster. The edition size will be determined by the presale which will start tomorrow, Monday, May 22 at 3pm EDT.

PURCHASE HERE

We realize a 2nd run may make some people unhappy, but this is for 1) the friends, fans and family who missed out on getting a print and 2) as a fundraiser to benefit the Colonel's widow.

We do not believe this run will devalue the original printing as it will be printed on different paper. In this case, it is infinitely more important to us that the people who want this print for all of the right reasons, have a chance to get one.

As I state above, there is also another good reason for this reprint. As with the posters we have already sold, a significant portion of the sales on this drop will go to a benefit for Sarah, Col. Bruce's widow.

PRESALE DETAILS:
These will NOT ship until sometime in June. They are not printed yet, and we do not have a definite date for shipping. Please be aware of this before you place an order. Updates on when they will be shipped will be posted here on our blog and on our various Facebook pages.

The prints will be the same except they will be printed on a pearlescent paper. The price will be $85 + $15 shipping. Edition size will be determined by the number of pre-orders we receive. This presale is going to be active until Thursday, May 25 at noon. There will be no quantity limits imposed due to this being a presale.

EARLY LABEL PRINTING

Posted on May 19, 2017 by Andrea Holt

We are printing labels today for packages to be shipped next week. Email notifications will go out saying the USPS has been electronically notified of intent to ship a package. The Delivery Confirmation number will not work until the packages actually ship.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Posted on May 18, 2017 by Judy Gex

When we do a drop, time is of the essence for us to be able to get tubes shipped quickly. Despite having a detailed page dedicated to Shipping & Returns on our web site, we are still spending valuable time answering emails asking why the tracking info isn't working.

We have to create labels a day or 3 in advance of actual shipping. This is not unusual for many companies. If you get a notice with a Delivery Confirmation tracking number and go to the link and it says Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item, that means we have created your label, but it has not gone to the Post Office yet.

If we're answering emails, then we're not packing tubes. Please help us do our jobs more efficiently by checking for answers to your questions in our FAQ or Shipping & Returns pages before sending us an email.

We Understand.....

Posted on May 11, 2017 by Judy Gex

...that many of you are very disappointed that you missed the Hampton 70 prints today. The foils sold in less than 2 minutes. Those of you who are not used to buying prints on a drop, we know it does suck when one is in your cart and then goes missing. None of the artist's cart software programs allow you to keep a print indefinitely while you are checking out. You have our heartfelt apologies, but this is how it works.

There was just way more demand for this than there were prints. We had no way of seeing the future to know that we should maybe have printed a few more. Due to the nature of limited editions, we can't just run off or print a few more to cover everyone.

Thank you for trying... and so very sorry if you missed it.

Hampton70 To Drop Thursday, May 11

HAMPTON 70 DROP INFO

The link will be active under New Releases at 3pm EDT Thursday, May 11.
Lava Foil $150

Artist Edition $75
*LIMIT ONE PRINT PER HOUSEHOLD (NOT ONE OF EACH)

The show was a charity event that benefited the Fox Theatre Institute and other musician-focused charities. As we have often done in the past, Jeff donated the artwork and design time to the event with the agreement that we could sell some prints afterwards to cover studio costs.  Instead of choosing a charity, part of the proceeds from this drop will be sent to Sarah, Col. Bruce's widow. We're pricing these higher than we originally intended for this reason.

Col. Bruce Hampton 70 Poster Jeff Wood Fox Theatre Atlanta

OK, we're ready to go ahead and announce the drop date for the Hampton 70 show prints. As per our usual, we will add the available prints to the Zen Dragon Gallery online store Thursday, May 11 at 3pm EDT. Shipping will start the next week.

There are 2 editions... a SN/115 Artist Edition on Cougar White same as the show edition and a SN/110 piece edition on Lava Foil.

This poster was a pet project for Jeff because of who and what the event was for. The proceeds for the Hampton 70 show was a charity event that benefitted the Fox Theatre Institute and other musician-focused charities. The art and the time creating it were donated to the event.

We had decided before the show that we would take a part of the proceeds of our sales and donate it somehow as well, but we didn't know exactly what we would donate to. In light of the events, we are going to donate that to the Colonel's wife.

The entire editions will not be in the store... we have a few people we need to send prints to as thank you's from the studio and we'll keep some for our archive. Because of the number of people who have written and the limited numbers, we're going to ask that purchases be limited to ONE print, not one of each.... but one print in an effort to make sure more people have a chance to get one.

Turn on Your Lovelight..... keep it on....
